Royal Dutch Shell Plc. will be committing further investments in India after its February merger with BG Group Plc., a spokesperson for the oil and gas company said. Shell has so far invested around $1 billion in its India operations.

cautiously amid weak global cues. The market is also keeping an eye on assembly
election results in five states, including Assam, where a victory for the
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance might help lift prospects of speedier
reforms from the government.

Lupin, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, BHEL and Wipro are top gainers while NTPC, HDFC, SBI, ITC and Bharti Airtel are losers. Sun TV tanks 11 percent as DMK is unlikely to return to power in Tamil Nadu. The AIADMK crossed halfway mark and is all set to form government in Tamil Nadu for the second consecutive time. It was a direct contest between Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's AIADMK and DMK-Congress alliance for the 234-member assembly.
